I was born in Texas, grew up in the mean streets swamps of Louisiana, but got back to Texas as fast as I could. I spent nearly a decade in Houston, eating plenty of BBQ and diving into WordPress. In April 2015, my wife and I (along with 2 dogs and a cat that hates me 1 dog, 1 parrot, 4 fish, a snail, some shrimp and the same cat that still hates me) relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona to live in and renovate her grandparents’ former house.
When I’m not building WordPress sites or helping a business helping WordPress.com users with their sites, or giving them a few tips about search marketing, I’m probably working on the house. Or a car. The work never ends; now I understand what my parents were saying all those years.
I also love cooking! Living in Texas for 10 years, I have a natural affinity for the grill and smoker, but the more common kitchen-based methods are in my repertoire as well. I love a perfectly medium-rare steak, but my favorite dishes are from my roots in Southern and Cajun cuisine.
I also had a beard before it became trendy.
